Stephen Jacobson obtained his Bachelor of Commerce with Distinction (Finance Major) from the University of Alberta in 2011. He went on to obtain his CFA in 2015 and is currently an active Charterholder.

Prior to joining Union Financial, Stephen worked at Canadian Western Bank for 14 years in various senior lending and management roles including Corporate Lending where he managed a portfolio of complex syndicated corporate loans. He also spent 4 years in Credit Risk Management where he adjudicated commercial and real estate credit across Western Canada, and in Commercial Banking where he managed some of the bank’s largest bilateral lending relationships including a team of lenders with over $1 billion of diversified exposure.

Stephen is the Chief Operating Officer of the Union Financial group of companies. He oversees all aspects of Union Lending Corporation’s underwriting and private lending business, and provides financial and strategic oversight to Union Wealth Management Corporation and its subsidiaries.
