Mitchell obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is working towards completing his Certified Financial Planner designation, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Level I Candidate.

Upon graduation, Mitchell joined a bank-owned full-service investment dealer supporting several advisory teams refining business processes, performance reporting, and other client deliverables. Mitchell has leveraged his background in statistical analysis to develop value-added insights interpreting market pricing. He plays a key role in the daily execution and maintenance of client portfolios. Mitchell is also instrumental in building financial planning models to set tailored benchmarks for individual client portfolio performance. Mitchell served as Treasurer of the Golden Bears Alumni Association in 2024. He continues to be a keen golfer carrying over from his days on the University of Alberta varsity golf team.
